Jumpstart Recognizes Broward County as Read for the Record District Award of the Year

Broward County has been recognized as the Read for the Record District of the Year Award! A supporter of Read for the Record since its beginning 14 years ago, Broward County is one of Jumpstart’s longest-standing partners for the campaign and has the widest participation within a single county. The award was presented to the Broward Reads committee co-chaired by Renee Jaffe , chief executive officer of the Early Learning Coalition of Broward County,  Cindy Arenberg Seltzer, chief executive officer/president of the Children’s Services Council, Beam Furr, Broward County Commissioner and Dan Gohl, chief academic officer at Broward Public School, Lori Canning, executive director of Early Learning and Language Acquisition.  There were over 1,000 volunteers throughout Broward that helped make Broward Reads a success!
