Child Care Financial Assistance (School Readiness)
 
 
 

Do you need assistance paying for child care? We offer School Readiness, a financial assistance program that helps low-income eligible families pay for quality child care in Broward County. 

 

Who Qualifies for School Readiness

School Readiness child care assistance is available to families who:

-  Are at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty Level; AND

-  Are employed at least 20 hours per week

-  A student taking at least 12 credit hours

-  An individual who receives benefits from the SSA's disability programs

- Are working & in training/education (min. of 20 hours/week for single parents & combined total of at least 40 hours/week for a two-parent family)

 

How to Apply For School Readiness

 
  1. Families need to apply through the Family Portal
  2. Once you apply, your application will be reviewed and you will be contacted by email. If you are potentially eligible, you will be placed on the Wait List until enrollment takes place, depending on availability of funding.
  3. Once funding for School Readiness becomes available, it is distributed on a first come first served basis.
