ELC Announces the Date for the Annual Broward Early Childhood Education Conference

We're pleased to announce the annual Broward Early Childhood Education Conference will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Broward College North Campus (1000 Coconut Creek Blvd. Coconut Creek, FL 33066). This year's conference theme is 'Stand Up and Be Counted!'

Call for Conference Exhibitors

The BECEC is pleased to again welcome exhibitors to participate in the conference. Potential exhibitors will need to fill out the Exhibitor Request Form and return it to If you are interested in tabling for the conference, please reserve a space before they run out. The BECEC will provide a venue for businesses and non-profit organizations to make contact with the early learning community (more than 800 participants).
As an exhibitor, you will have the unique opportunity to market your products and services to a captive audience of teachers, early learning providers, and educators.  Exhibit hours have been arranged to give exhibitors maximum exposure. By exhibiting, vendors have the chance to highlight their products and services in a venue geared to their market and where they can connect directly with their audience.

Call for Workshop Presenter Proposals

The ELC is currently seeking workshop presenters for the annual Broward Early Childhood Education Conference. We invite all interested individuals to share your expertise by submitting a proposal to be a conference presenter. Presentations should be designed for audiences that may include early childhood educators, directors, family child care home providers, and community partners in a related field.
The 2020 conference theme this year is Stand Up and Be Counted! The conference is scheduled to take place on February 1, 2020 from 7:00a – 3:30p at Broward College’s North Campus, located at 1000 Coconut Creek Blvd. Coconut Creek, FL 33066. We expect to have more than 850 attendees.
Workshop Proposal Topics
Our goal is to enable early childhood professionals to learn best practices, and we welcome workshop proposals that support innovation and innovative strategies for improving and/or reinforcing high quality learning and operation of child care centers and homes. Examples of proposal topics would include but are not limited to:
  • CLASS® Classroom Assessment Scoring System
  • Developmentally Appropriate Practice
  • Computer Skills
  • Science and Math in the Classroom
  • Child Care Business Practice
  • Child Care Policy and Advocacy 
  • Early Literacy
  • Social Emotional Well-Being of Children, Families and Educators
  • Inclusion of Children with Special Needs
  • Infant Mental Health
  • Trauma Informed Care Practices
Workshops in Spanish
Last year we had several successful presentations in Spanish. Please indicate below whether you or your team would be willing to conduct your workshop in Spanish.
Proposal Submission Deadline

Proposals received after this deadline will be placed on a waiting list. Should additional presenters be needed, the proposal will be reviewed and selected presenters will be notified.
