What is an asynchronous training?
Asynchronous trainings are self-paced, prerecorded learning events that you can participate in at your convenience, without needing to attend a live training with an instructor. Participants can complete an asynchronous training on their own with little or no help from an instructor.
What are the expectations of completing an Asynchronous training?
Learners participating in an asynchronous training will need to complete each "knowledge check" question after each module, achieving 100% before being able to move on to the next section.
Learners will need to participate in the entire training in order to be marked as having "completed" the training.
Once learners have completed the training, within 24 hours, they are given access in the LMS to the Post-Test and Training Evaluation. Both the Post-Test and Training Evaluation must be completed in order to receive a certificate of participation for 1.5 in-service hours.
How do I register for asynchronous trainings in the LMS?
Step 1: Click the "Register Now" button for the asynchronous training you would like to participate in.
Step 2: You will then be taken to the training description in the LMS where you can select the "Register" button.
Step 3: If you are new to the LMS, click "Checkout" and select "Create a New Account" in the New User Account section.
Step 4: Enter your contact information, create a user name and password, and click on the "Continue" button.
Step 5: Once you have created a user name and password, you will then be able to see the training you would like to register for, complete the honor code agreement, and then click on the "Complete Registration" button.
If you already have an account in the LMS, click "Checkout" and then enter your username and password. Then, you will need to complete the honor code agreement and click on the" Complete Registration" button.
The asynchronous training you registered for will then be in your LMS account. To access the training, click the "Launch Course" button.

Let's Get CLASSy: Learn About Positive Interactions in Pre-K
This training will help participants become familiar with the Pre-K CLASS® tool. In early childhood settings, each moment that teachers and children interact with one another is an opportunity to develop positive relationships that build on learning. During this training, we will discuss the importance of using developmentally appropriate strategies during classroom activities that take into consideration children’s differing needs, interests, learning styles, and abilities. We will also explore effective ways to increase language and vocabulary, enhance feedback, promote self-regulation in children through behavior management and routines, and link concepts to the real world with intensity and frequency.
