CLASS with Toddlers: Behavior Guidance

The goal of this training is to help educators learn and acknowledge the importance of behavior guidance in toddler classrooms. This training will define and discuss strategies for effective behavior guidance through setting clear expectations for children’s behavior, praising children when they meet the expectations, being proactive, and effectively redirecting undesirable behaviors.

By the end of this training, participants will:
1. Recognize the importance of behavior guidance in the toddler classroom
2. Describe how to guide children’s behavior by being proactive in the toddler classroom
3. Recall how to guide children’s behavior by supporting positive behavior in the toddler classroom
4. List ways to reduce the opportunity for problem behavior in the toddler classroom

Attendance Policy: Participants missing more than 15 minutes of total training time will NOT receive a certificate of participation. Please be prepared to arrive on time and stay until the end of the training. Participants who leave the training early will not receive credit for the training. 

PLEASE NOTE: Registration is required. Participants who arrive 15 minutes late to this training will not be admitted. Participants MUST complete both the post test and training evaluation to receive a certificate of participation.
