Teacher Aide - P/T                            $17.05 Hourly
 
WORK OBJECTIVE
  Provides tutorial and general program assistance in the development and supervision of program participants' tutorial/educational needs, including enrichment and character building initiatives, various prevention projects and initiatives, and special events. Receives supervision and guidance from certified teachers and teacher assistants in the delivery of effective instruction. Work is performed under close supervision with minimal latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.  
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  High school diploma or GED; supplemented by some experience and/or training in working with school age children; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.  Must have or be able to obtain Florida Department of Children and Families required early childhood education, teacher assistant, and/or childhood development associate certifications within one year of start date.  Must have National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification (level to be determined by job classification requirements), or obtain within one year of employment.  In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully.
