What is the LMS?
The Learning Management System (LMS) is a software application that the ELC's Broward Educator's Learning Academy (BELA) is now using for our continuing education and training program.
How do I register for trainings using the LMS?
Step 1: When you are on the ELC training calendar page, click the "Register Now" button.
Step 2: You will then be taken to the training description in the LMS where you can select the "Register" button.
Step 3: Click "Checkout" and select "Create a New Account" in the New User Account section.
Step 4: Enter your contact information, create a user name and password, and click on the "Continue" button.
Step 5: Once you have created a user name and password, you will then be able to see the training you would like to register for, complete the honor code agreement, and then click on the "Complete Registration" button.
The training you registered for is now in your LMS account.
How do I access the LMS?
Educators can Click Here to access the LMS or scan the QR code below with the camera on your smart device
Then, you will need to log in to your account using the username and password you created.
Click on "My Registrations" to see the trainings you registered for.
After I attend a training, what will I need to do in the LMS?
After attending in-service trainings, you will need to complete the Training Evaluation Survey in the LMS.
Once you complete the Training Evaluation Survey, you will be able to download your certificate of participation with in-service hours.
After attending CEU trainings, you will need to complete the CEU Application and Gains Survey, Post-Test, and Training Evaluation Survey in the LMS.
Once you complete the CEU Application Form and Gains Survey, click on the ELC logo to go back to the home page. Then, click on "My Registrations" again to complete the Post-Test.
Once you complete the Post-Test, click on the ELC logo to go back to the home page. Then, click on "My Registrations" again to complete the Training Evaluation Survey, which will be located in the training you previously attended.
Once you complete all documents (CEU Application Form and Gains Survey, Post Test, and Training Evaluation Survey), you will be able to download your certificate of completion with CEUs.
What will I be able to see and do in the LMS?
You will be able register for upcoming trainings. see all of the trainings you've registered for and attended starting with August 2021 trainings, and print in-service certificates of participation or CEU certificates of completion.
