Concept Development in Pre-K: Connections to the Real World

About the Event

Please contact elcbtraining@elcbroward.org if you have questions or need assistance.

In the Pre-K CLASS tool, it looks to capture concept development which is not easily defined.  In this training, participants will go through the process of learning more specific elements of Instructional Support from the Pre-K CLASS tool, learn what exactly concept development is and why it is so important in the classroom.  Finally, participants will be able to see what concept development looks like throughout the day and will be provided strategies for the classroom.

By the end of this training, participants will:
1. Describe the elements of Instructional Support
2. Identify what Concept Development is
3. Discuss moments where Concept Development can be applied throughout the day
4. Relate Concept Development to their own practice through a reflection activity
