The Growing Brain - 2-A: The Factors Affecting Brain Growth and Development
About the Event
We are facilitating The Growing Brain Series that will take place over the course of a series of sessions on Zoom. Participants will receive 1.5 in-service hours each session they attend.
During the first part of Unit 2 of the Growing Brain series of trainings, participants will review how the brain develops, and learn about the Top and Bottom functions of the brain. We will explore various factors that affect healthy brain growth and development as well as review possible methods adults can use to provide solutions to those challenges.
By the end of this training, participants will:
1. Identify factors that affect brain growth and development
2. Discover the effect of stress on brain growth and development
3. Identify key terms and definitions related to today’s content
