The Growing Brain 3-B: Communication Milestones and Strategies to Support Young Children (Three through Five)
About the Event
We are facilitating The Growing Brain Series that will take place over the course of a series of sessions on Zoom. Participants will receive 1.5 in-service hours each session they attend.
In discussing communication milestones in children, we now know how these skills continue to grow in the Preschool years. During the second part of unit 3 of the Growing Brain series of trainings, participants will review the key milestones in language development in children from 3 years- 5 years old. We will also review strategies to help support and nurture these communication skills. Participants will also learn to understand the needs of Multilanguage learners and ways to support those specific early communication skills.
By the end of this training, participants will:
1. Describe communication milestones in children from 3-5 years
2. Identify strategies for supporting language skills in young children
3. Discuss Multilanguage Learning
