The Growing Brain 4-B: Supporting Executive Functions and Understanding the Cognitive Processes

About the Event

We are facilitating The Growing Brain Series that will take place over the course of a series of sessions on Zoom. Participants will receive 1.5 in-service hours each session they attend.

The Prefrontal Cortex plays a major role in decision making and planning, as well as the use of Executive Functions in young children. During the second part of unit 4 of the Growing Brain series of trainings, participants will review the timeline in which the development of Executive Functions takes place, and how adults can support this process.

By the end of this training, participants will:
1. Describe how Cognitive Development unfolds in children from Three to Five years old
2. Explain Executive Functioning and Its Critical Role in Cognitive and Overall Development
3. Identify key messages related to the unit content
