Sound Beginnings – Early Language Development: Best Practices for Early Learning Providers

About the Event

Early childhood is a critical time to build a strong foundation with quality, language-rich experiences to support the early language development of infants and toddlers. In this training, we will explore the impact early language experiences have on the developing brain, the key role that meaningful experiences can play in a child's cognitive and social-emotional development and future learning, and how to foster environments that are filled with rich language interactions.

By the end of this training, participants will:
1. Discuss the impact early language experiences have on the developing brain
2. Identify strategies that develop partnerships with families and communities to optimize child growth and development
