The Wonders of Literacy for Preschoolers

About the Event

Early literacy involves learning about sounds, words, and language, which is the foundation for reading, writing, communication, and socializing. Early childhood educators play a key role as children develop literacy skills. The purpose of this webinar is for participants to learn the importance of literacy and language development for preschool children and the need for literacy to be implemented daily in classrooms and with families.

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
1. Define early literacy in early childhood education
2. List strategies that help preschool children extend their language and literacy learning
3. Recognize how to support writing and publishing in the literacy learning center
4. List tips for talking with children throughout the day.
